Some autoimmune conditions require the use of advanced biologic medications which may necessitate intravenous (IV) administration. Our office hosts an on-site infusion center, staffed with experienced nurses and supervised by our physicians. While some rheumatology practices use off-site oncology centers for infusion, we feel it is important to have a dedicated center familiar with rheumatology medications, and on-site physician supervision by the prescribing doctor.
